Virtual Intimate Zone – Internet Security Day in Komárno
On November 6, 2024, the Virtual Intimate Zone – Internet Security Day took place successfully in Komárno, offering a unique opportunity for high school students to dive into the world of digital security. Organized by the TANDEM, n.o. non-profit organization, the festival featured interactive workshops, thematic stations, and a living library, where students could discuss topics such as fake news, cyberbullying, personal data protection, digital addiction, and recognizing online scams.
The morning activities focused on self-awareness and the development of critical thinking, while also giving students the chance to reflect on their online habits. The afternoon was dedicated to thematic stations, where students could freely choose from various activities, each concentrating on specific topics such as fake news, digital footprints, and the impact of artificial intelligence.
One of the festival's greatest successes was the active participation of students in discussions and hands-on activities, where they could learn new knowledge in an engaging and interactive way. Volunteers and experts created a friendly atmosphere, encouraging open communication and the sharing of experiences.
The festival is part of a broader project aimed at promoting digital security, which will continue with additional activities such as conferences and training for educators. The Komárno Virtual Intimate Zone received positive feedback from both students and teachers, reinforcing the relevance of digital security today, more than ever.
