TANDEM development model
From the components, which are essential for the world's harmonious functioning, as its own main point of interest TANDEM highlights human identity. This is approached through work done in three main areas of human identity by programs and services of developing, supporting and empowering these individuals. Our three target groups are communities, schools and the world of work.
In the case of communities our set goal is to strengthen their capacity of self-organization. In order to renew the professional development of communities and public discourses TANDEM offers new topics, areas for improvement, professional ideas and methods.
In the field of education and schools the goal to be achieved is deepening both parent and teacher role identity, secondly developing the management skills and knowledge of the school’s management, and thirdly, to strengthen the students' conscious for their own development. We aim to achieve these goals by taking the non-formal education approach and trying to embed it into university education, too.
In the area of employment TANDEM seeks to achieve for workers to become conscious and effective labor market actors to ensure that they are capable of adapting their knowledge and skills to the expectations of the labor market, thus contributing to reducing the number of unemployed in the region. The rate of employment growth is set to be achieved by reducing the gap between the theoretical knowledge offered in the current school system and the practical demands of the labor market offering target groups with specific services on specific topics. TANDEM implements programs like: career guidance for secondary school students, career and life planning for university students, competency and skills development for active seekers in the labor market.
